Well folks, talkSail has been growing at a slow rate, mainly because I have been busy at my new job, but I am now here to accelerate growth.
If you have any friends or family that enjoy dinghy sailing, ask them to join, so that we can start to get a real community going here! I plan to finish off the help section soon so that people can understand all the features available to use.
So please invite people and make them aware of this new social network!

“There just isn’t anything out there like it. There are many forums that are dedicated to sailing in general, but their aren’t any places on the web that allow online interaction between dinghy sailors. We are trying to fill a gap in the sailing niche.”
The website has many features now standard on social networks such as having friends, posting to an activity feed, being able to join or create groups, partaking in discussions, talking in a live chatroom and having a multimedia album. However, unlike other social networks, it also allows you to maintain your own highly customizable personal blog, which will enable dinghy sailors to post news, comment on developments in the sailing industry and keep a log of their sailing life in general.
The site has been designed to run on the most popular browsers so as to allow maximum cohesion with the online dinghy sailing community. It has been built using the new WordPress Multisite functions along with the social networking plugin BuddyPress and using a customized template.

Welcome to talkSail, the new dinghy sailor’s social network! We hope to bring you loads of new exciting features to help you have the best time you can while using talkSail.
We are currently in Beta stage, which is where most of the programming and designing has been completed and we are now testing the user experience. We would really appreciate you helping us and it is really simple to join in.
Just click Sign Up and register your account with us. Then act as if there was no Beta by making friends, participating in group discussions and creating a blog as well as using the other features we hope to unvail throughout the Beta period.
